Chairman's message 2011 Digby Scallop Days Festival
posted 08:08:2011

I would like to take this opportunity to thank the 2011 volunteer committee members and their helpers, and families and not to forget the Parade, Band and Princess Affairs Judges, a BIG THANK YOU! to all without volunteer's like you, festivals would not function.

Thank you to all of our 2011 sponsors, who with out you we could not have a festival, thank you for your continued support throughout the years previous and future.
(see sponsors)

We had a great bunch of vendors this year on the water front, the wind and a bit of mist (well sometimes rain) in the air didn't stop them from setting up and showing & selling their products and supporting the festival. great job and we hope to see you back next year! Thank you.

What a parade this year! thank you everyone for providing a great show for the crowd this year, our Parade Marshall Albert Burke (100 this year) hope you had a great time, the Cadets Marching Bands once again outstanding along with the newly formed Digby Pipe Band, the Western Valley Shriners (FYI: Philae Shriners celebrating 100 years from 1911-2011) once again Thank you for your support, not forgetting the others in the parade but there are so many this year and very much appreciated that you participated in the parade (list will be available at a later date).

Thank you to the Town of Digby Councillors & Staff, Digby Fire Department, Bruce Murley & the Works Dept. Digby RCMP, Danny Harviuex & Justin Wood & the Digby Area Recreation, The Municipality of the District of Digby

 Thank you
